涉及difficult 与 easy 的惯用法

这是一对反义词，由于其用法较为相似，所以放在一起来分析。 1. 表示做某事很困难（容易），英语通常用 be difficult (easy) to do sth, 注意该结构通常要用it作形式主语，而不直接以人或物作主语。如：

It’s difficult to understand anything he says. 要理解他说的话很困难。

It’s not easy to find a place to park your car. 你要找个停他车的地方不容易。但是，千万不要按汉语思维将上面的句子说成： We are difficult to understand anything he says. You are not easy to find a place to park your car.

另外，有时it可能不是形式主语，而是形式宾语。如：

He found it easy to earn extra money. 他发现赚点外快很容易。

She found it difficult to answer the question. 她发现回答这个问题很困难。

2. 若be difficult (easy) 之后的不定式与句子主语有动宾关系，则句子可以用人或物作主语，但注意此时该不定式通常只用主动形式表被动意义，而不直接用被动式。如： This cake is easy to make. 这蛋糕很容易做。

This problem is difficult to solve. 这个问题难解决。

She was difficult to understand at times. 有时候她很不容易理解。所以当其中的不定式不及物时，要注意加上适当的介词。如： She is very easy to get along with. 她很好相处。

Their house isn’t easy to get to. 他们的房子不容易找到。

形容词 hard 表示“困难的”时，与上面 difficult的用法特点一样，以上各句中的 difficult 均可用 hard 换之，只是 hard更口语化。 3. 注意以下特殊用法：

(1) difficult 有时可指人难对付的或难相处的等。如： He is a difficult child. 他是个顽固的小孩。

He’s a difficult man to work with. 他是个难以共事的人。 (2) easy 可用作副词，但主要用于某些固定说法中。如： Take it easy. 不要紧张。

Easy come, easy go. 来得容易，去得快。 Easier said than done. 说说容易，做起来难。
