Teaching aims

1.了解字母s/z/1在单词中的读音,正确发音。

2.了解外国人名的译法Rose罗斯,Green格林,Brown布朗 3.在教师的引导和训练下,学生能正确理解和朗读cartoon time中的故事,能读懂其中趣味之处演绎故事,并养成良好的阅读习惯。

Step1.warm up

1.T shows pictures ,Ss think of weekends activities and make sentences T points out some activities containing the letter-s e.g. draw pictures/play basketball

Prepare for teaching the pronunciation



Step2: Presentation and practice 2.T:Whats the flower?

Ss:rose(practice its pronunciation pay attention to s/z/) 3.T teaches s/z/

E.g.rose/his/has/always/music

Ss practice and evaluate themselves if they know the sound of the letter-s T:Cay you name more? 4.chant for practicing When we visit Mr Rose, He always shows us All the lovely roses He grows.

T points out rose as a family name translating to 罗斯 Add Brown 布朗/Green格林 5.look and guess

T shows pictures of cartoon time T:What does Billy do at weekends?


S1:He watches TV at weekends S2:He stays at home at weekends 6.watch and say

Ss watch cartoon time

S:Billy always watches TV at weekends. He always eats a lot too. T:What happened at last?

S:He is too far to get out.(teach get out &come out,Ss compare the difference) 7.listen and read

S read correctly, vividly and with emotion After reading

T:What will Billy do at the following weekends? S1:He will eat less sweet S2:He will do some exercise
