The plan for saying out Book Unit 6 How do you get to school?

.Teaching guidelines:

My teaching guideline is all around the students. As for study, my students are regarded as the main parts .Language is for communication,and my purpose is to improve their language using ability,face to all the students,focus on their study requirement.And the competation is put into the class.Thus Ill make the students interested in learning English,and make the class the most effective. .Analyzing teaching material: 1. Lesson type:Revision 2. Status an function:

Unit 6 is about how to use kinds of transportation,how long it takes to go places,how far apart places are.The whole lesson can help the students to improve their talking,reading and writing ability. .Teaching aims( Knowledge objects,Ability objects,Moral objects): 1. Get the students to review and remember the number words and some phrases,for example, take the bus,by bus, take the subway,by subway,ride the bike,by bike...and so on; how long ,how far,depend on , be different from.

2. Get the students to review and master the sentence patterns: It takes somebody some time to do something. Somebody spend some time (in) doing something. How long does it take?

How far is it from your home to school?

3. The students can make a conversation about how to get to a place by kinds of transportation.

4. Enable the students to have a writing about how to get to school. 5. The students can work well together in their group ,arouse their interested in learning English. .Teaching important and difficult points:


1.How to use kinds of transportation;

2.The sentence drill It takes somebody some time to do something. 3.The writing. .Teaching method:

Task-based learning . Teaching procedures: Step 1. Warm up.

Sing an English song: The more were together.

(2 minutes)

Step 2.Listening practice

Listen to the listening book,Unit 6. (Page 26) (5 minutes) Step 3.Have a free talk.

Get the students to talk about how to get to school in pairs.Then

ask them to act out.

(5 minutes)

Step 4.Words and phrases Revision

Get the students to review the words and phrases in their

books,then ask them to recite the words and phrases one by one.The students have a competation between boys and girls .(Teacher write Boys and Girls on the blackboard.) At the same time,teacher write the important ones on the Bb.

(take the bus ,by bus ,ride the bike,by bike,10 kilometers from

school,be different from; That must be more fun than taking a bus.)

Do Eerciseand Eercise on the teaching guide paper

(8 minutes)

Step 5. Go over the sentence patterns:

Ask the students How do you go to school? The students

answer.

Then ask How long does it take ? Get them to answer .


Write this sentence pattern on the blackboard.

Then write:It takes somebody some time to do something. In the following time,get the students to think it over ,it can be changed into another form: Sb spend some time (in) doing something. (Write it on the Bb.)

Then practice this sentence pattern orally.

Next,ask How far is it from your home to school? The students answer.

Do Exercise and Exercise (10 minutes) Step6.Have a writing practice

Get the students to write an article about how to get to

school.Ask two students to read their writing,the teacher correct them.

Hand in their writing papers after class. (7 minutes) Step 7.Summary ( 1 minutes) Step 8.Have a test (7 minutes)

Get the students to do the exercises,then correct . Step 9. Homework

A. Remember the phrases B. Do exercies on the workbook.
