We prepared to plant them in the yard. When we were backing home, we went into action in no time. Some time later, we finished. I will patiently wait for spring to come to the yard now. 3 I often make a trip by trains because its both cheap and comfortable. Last winter holidays I traveled in a car for the first time in my life. At first I didnt feel well. But this kind of feeling didnt last long. the trip was exciting. While travelling in a car, we could stop at any time if we wanted to enjoy the view outside. The fields, the mountains and rivers were really very nice. On the way we visited many places of interest and took a lot of photos. It was an unforgettable experience for me. 4 It is Teachers Day on September 10th every year. Teachers are the greatest people in the world, I think, because they teach us how to write and read. The most important is that they teach us how to be a real man. They are also kind to everybody and they dont want anyone to fall behind others. They always get on very well with their students, and they are our best friends. When students are in trouble, they can help them in time. I will be a teacher when I grow up. 5 Another new term comes again, so I should have a study plan to promot myself. Firstly, I descide to finish my homework more carefully than before. And pay more attention to the knowledge which Ididnt know it clearly. Thats what I plant to do in a new term. 6 My home town is a beautiful place. It stands beside a wide river and is rich in fish and rice. But in the old days it was a poor and backward little town. Many people had no work. They lived a hard life. In 1949 my hometown was liberated. Since then great changes have taken place there. The streets have been widened. Factories, schools, hospitals, cinemas and theatres have sprung up one after another. The life of the people is greatly improved. I love my hometown. All the more I love its people. They are working hard so as to make it still richer and more beautiful. 7 I liked playing computer games, but my daddy was not happy because he thought it was not good for my study. Sometimes I felt I was not a free boy when my daddy was so strict with me, so I tried to talk to my daddy, and he said he was happy because I talked to him, and now he let me play games if I study well. From this, I understand a friendly talk can help people get along well. 8 Every Thursday at 6 oclock in the afternoon, we all go to the English comer on the campus to practice our spoken English. We talk about various topics we are interested in, such as campus life, the wide use of English, and information technology. We communicated with each other frankly, happily and freely. Our English has improved quickly by this means. We all believe that practice makes perfect. 9 Introducing yourself is very important when you meet new people. You always want to make a good impression when telling others about yourself. Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Pat and Im from Taiwan. Right now, Im a student. I study very hard every day. I like going to school because Im eager to learn. I enjoy learning English. Its my favorite class. I like to make friends and I get along with everyone.
