春节来源英文介绍 Chinese New Year，also known as the Lunar New Year or the Spring Festival, is the most important festival in the Chinese calendar. Chinese New Year is celebrated with family gatherings, feasts, parades and fireworks. Originally, Chinese New Year was celebrated to mark the beginning of the agricultural year, when people prayed for a plentiful harvest. Many Chinese people also follow the custom of giving children money and treats as a symbol of good luck. In addition, red decorations such as lanterns, banners and couplets are hung throughout the home to bring positive energy and good fortune. The 15-day celebration usually concludes with the Lantern Festival, during which colorful lanterns are released into the night sky. This marks the beginning of the new lunar year and the start of the spring season.
