difficulty的用法: 1. 关于是否用作可数名词和是否用复数形式： (1) 表示抽象意义的“困难”，是不可数名词。如： Bad planning will lead to difficulty later. 计划不周会给以后带来困难。 (2) 表示具体意义的“困难”(如难事、难点、难题等)，是可数名词。如： He paused as if he found a difficulty. 他停下来，好像遇到了一个难点。 He met with many difficulties when travelling. 他在旅行进遇到过不少伤脑筋的事。 (3) 在某些词组中是不可数名词(只用单数)。如： with difficulty 困难地 without difficulty 容易地 而在某些词组中又是可数名词(且通常要用复数形式)。如： make difficulties 刁难 under difficulties 在困难条件下 (4) 在某些词组中可用作可数名词或不可数名词，有时意义相同： make no difficulty＝make no difficulties 无异议，不反对 有时意义不同： be in difficulty 有困难 be in difficulties 手头拮据 2. 关于句式 have difficulty in doing sth： (1) difficulty 通常是不可数名词； (2) difficulty 前可用 some, any, no, great, much, little等修饰; (3) 动词 have 可用 find, there be 等换之； (4) in doing sth 中的 in 可以省略，但不能改为 to do sth。 There was no [little] difficulty in persuading her. 没费什么劲就说服她。 I had [found] great difficulty (in) doing the work. 做这工作我觉得很吃力。 若其后接名词或代词，也可用介词 with。如： Do you have any difficulty with [in] English? 你对(学习)英语有困难吗? 反义词difficult与easy: 这是一对反义词，由于其用法较为相似，所以下面一起讲解： 1. 表示做某事很困难(容易)，英语通常用 be difficult (easy)(for sb) to do sth, 注意该结构通常要用 it 作式主语，而不直接以人或物作主语。如： 这工作我很难(容易)做。 误：I’m difficult (easy) to do the work. 正：It’s difficult (easy) for me to do the work. 【注】若 be difficult (easy)之后的不定式与句子主语有动宾关系，则句子可以用人或物作主语，但注意此时该不定式通常只用主动形式表被动意义，而不直接用被动式。如： 这小孩很难(容易)教。 误：The child is difficult (easy) to be taught. 正：The child is difficult (easy) to teach. 【注】形容词 hard 表示“困难的”时，与上面 difficult的用法特点一样，以上各句中的 difficult 均可用 hard 换之，只是 hard更口语化， 3. 注意以下特殊用法： (1) difficult 有时可指人难对付的或难相处的等。如： He is a difficult child 他是个顽固的小孩。 He’s a difficult man to work with. 他是个难以共事的人。 (2) easy 可用作副词，但主要用于某些固定说法中。如： Take it easy. 不要紧张。 Easy come, easy go. 来得容易，去得快。 Easier said than done. 说说容易，做起来难。 本文来源：https://www.dywdw.cn/59fcd9821b5f312b3169a45177232f60dccce765.html
