Unit 4

1. Teaching objectives:

1Knowledge objectives students can master some key words and expressions of the text

Students can acquire more about the future simple tense the futureinthepast tense

Students can learn how to develop a paragraph by process.

2)Ability objective: students’ listening speaking reading and writing abilities can be

improved

cultivate students’ ability to discover analyze and solve problems

3)Emotional objectives:①cultivate students' awareness to environmental pollution and help

them to realize the importance of protecting our earth

2. Teaching key points help the students have a better understanding of the future simple tense

and the future-inthe past tense

3 Teaching difficult points: enable students to listen for time in conversations and know how to

talk about responsibilities.

4Teaching Procedure

Part One Listening and Speaking Step 1 Pronunciation and listening skills

The pronunciations of the words in brackets are difficult to distinguish Listen carefully and check ) the words you hear. Scripts

英语时间通常用以下两种方法表达: 1 直接表达法

1 用基数词 + o'clock来表示整点,注意o’clock须用单数,可以省略.如:eight o'clock (800)

2 用基数词按“钟点 + 分钟”的顺序直接写出时间,表示非整点.如:eight five (805)eight forty (840. 2 间接表达法

1) 如果分钟数少于30,可用“分钟 + past + 钟点”表示,其中past是介词,意思是“过".:twenty past four 420

2 如果所表示时间的分钟数多于 30,可用“60分钟 分钟数)+ to +(原钟点数 + 1)"表示,其中 to 是介词,意思是“差"。如:twentyfive to nine 8:35 注:

1 当分钟数是 15 ,可用名词 quarter (一刻钟)表示。如:a quarter past eight 815 2 当分钟数是 30 时,可用名词 half (一半)表示。如:half past nine 930 Step 2. Conversations
