use的用法 1. 主动：sb use sth to do sth = sb use sth for doing sth “某人用„干„” 被动：sth be used to do sth = sth be used for doing sth "某物被用来做某事" 例如： We use wood to make paper . = We use wood for making paper . Wood can be used to make paper. = Wood can be used for making paper. 树木可以用来造纸。 注：be used for 后还可以接sth ,"...被用作..." It is used for a knife. 2. sb be used to sth. （be 可用get 、 become替换） sb be used to doing sth. “习惯于、适应某事 / 习惯于、适应做某事" to是介词，后面跟名词、代词或动名词； 例如： Old people are used to getting up early in the morning.老年人习惯早晨很早起床。 I wasn't used to city life, but now I have got used to living in this city. 我以前不习惯都市生活，但现在我已习惯住在这座城市了。 3. Sb make use of sth.“利用„”，use是名词， use前可用good, full, more, little等形容词修饰。同学们应特别注意它的被动形式。 make good use of sth 充分利用... make full use of sth 充分利用... make more use of sth 多利用... make little use of sth 很少利用... 例如： We must make full use of time to study.我们必须充分利用学习时间 1. besides prep 除„之外(还有，包含在内) adv. 而且, 还有 I don't want to go; besides, I'm too tired. 我不想去, 再说我也太累了。 He had other people to take care of besides me. 除了我以外, 他还需要照料其他人。 2. except 除„外 （不包含在内） They work every day except Sunday. 除了星期天他们每天都工作。 3. except for 除„之外 (若不是) Except for smoking and drinking, he is a thrifty man. 除了抽烟、喝酒, 他是个生活节俭的人。 The translation is well done except for a few small mistakes. 除却几处小错, 翻译练习做得就是很好的了 divide用法 1. vt. 分, 分开, 分裂, 除 divide...into... 把.....分成.... divide ....in half 把.....分成两份 divided ... between / among sb 在....之间分配...
