A military parade and mass pageantry have been held following the gathering. 今年是中华人民共和国成立70周年，首都北京将举行隆重热烈的庆祝活动。庆祝大会后将举行盛大的阅兵式和群众游行。 The parade is larger than those marking the 50th and 60th anniversaries of the PRC's founding and the 70th anniversary of victory in the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression (1931-45) in 2015. 相比庆祝建国50周年、60周年阅兵和纪念抗战胜利70周年阅兵，这次阅兵的规模要大一些。 The Tian'anmen Square parade had debuted advanced weapons and equipment, he said, adding that all equipment displayed is domestically developed and in service.
