倡议书英语作文 Proposal on Enhancing Bicycle Usage Bicycles are a convenient and eco-friendly mode of transportation. However, they are not as popular they should be in many parts of the world due to various reasons. In light of this, I would like to propose an initiative that would drive up bicycle usage in our area. The primary step in this process should be to increase awareness about the benefits of bicycles. This can be done through campaigns that focus on how bicycles can help reduce traffic and pollution, save time spent on public transport and promotemaintaining good physical health. Furthermore, having designated bicycle lanes and tracks will go a long way in making them more appealing. This can undertaken either through extending and improving existing bicycle paths or by creating separated cycling lanes. Local governments should also consider providing bike sharing services. Our cities should also increase their spending on establishing and maintaining more bicycle racks, as highlighted in a research. Such hardware would be an important step for the safety of bicycles, since it would provide the cyclists with a secure place to anchor their bikes. Another factor that can help in this endeavor is by providing tax incentives for purchasing electric bicycles. This has been a successful approach in countries such as China, where electric bicycles are commonplace. In conclusion, increasing bicycle usage requires us to focus on various aspects such as bike infrastructure, improving awareness, tax incentives, and providing more secure places to park bicycle.
