Shanghai—my hometown Shanghai is my hometown. It is a modern and busy city with a long history. It is famous for its night view. There are a lot of department stores and huge shopping centres, so Shanghai is known as a “Shopping Paradise”. If tourists come to Shanghai, it will be very easy for them to go shopping here. They can also have a lot of delicious food to enjoy. Welcome to Shanghai！ I like funny films There are many kinds of films around us, such as action films, adventure films and so on. Of all the films, I like funny films best. I think funny films are full of laughter and fun. If you are unhappy, you will be happy after seeing this kind of film. Funny films bring you a lot of happiness and make you laugh. Whenever there is a funny film on at the cinema, I see it with my parents. Usually we go to the cinema once a month. We always enjoy ourselves when we see the film. A wonderful holiday Last Saturday was a fine day. My parents decided to take me to the beach. After having breakfast, we took a bus there. To my surprise, there were so many people at the beach. But I was still very excited because I could see the beautiful sea. We did a lot of interesting things, such as playing volleyball, making sandcastles and so on. The trip was the most wonderful one that I have ever had. Shopping Last Sunday I went shopping with my mum. We went to a clothes shop. We saw many fashion clothes there. I liked the dress with red spots very much because it looked so beautiful. So I chose one. The shop assistant asked me to try it on in the changing room. When I put on the dress, I found it was too loose. I had to change another one. Luckily, it fits me well! Mum bought herself a pair of shoes. At last, we went home happily with the dress and the shoes. I have a good father I have a good father. He is not only my teacher but also my friend. My father is a teacher and he works very hard. After dinner he usually checks my homework. I get a lot of help from him. My father is also good at sports, so we often play basketball at the weekend. I love my father very much. I think I’m lucky to have such a great father like him. My dream job Everybody has his own dream job. So do I. My dream job is to teach History in a middle school. I think this job is exciting. I will be kind to my students. I can often tell historical stories to my students. They will be interested in what I teach them. I will tell the students “history is a mirror” and encourage them to study hard for our motherland and to be a useful person for the society. What an excellent teacher I will be! I will try my best for my dream job! Learning from model students There are many model students in my class. For example, Mary is a model student. Although she is not strong, she always helps our teachers. John is also a model student. Although he has a lot of pocket money, he never wastes it. He often gives his money to the people in need. I used to spend time on my study. I thought of myself more than others. Now I should learn from these model students. I should give a hand to the people in trouble.
