猴子捞月亮英文小故事 The Story of Monkeys Fishing for the Moon Once upon a time, there was a group of monkeys who lived near a lake. They were very curious and intelligent animals. One night, while gazing at the full moon, one of the monkeys had a fascinating idea. "Why not try to fish the moon out of the water and see what it looks like up close?" he said. The other monkeys thought the idea was insane, but they also wanted to know what the moon was like, so they all agreed to give it a try. They quickly put together a plan. They climbed up a tall tree and extended their arms towards the moon, trying to reach the reflection of the moon in the water. But no matter how hard they tried, they couldn't reach it. After a while, a wise old monkey came by to see what all the fuss was about. When he heard what the other monkeys were trying to do, he simply sighed and shook his head. "You can't catch the moon by fishing like that," he said. "It's just a reflection. You're wasting your time." But the other monkeys were undeterred. They continued to jump and reach for the moon each time it appeared in the water. Finally, one of the monkeys had an idea. "Why don't we build a bridge to the moon?" he suggested. The other monkeys thought it was a great idea. They set to work gathering logs and building a bridge over the lake. It took them several days to complete it, and they were exhausted by the time it was done. But they were determined to see the moon up close, so they set out across the bridge. As they got closer to the moon, they realized that it wasn't getting any closer. No matter how much they walked, the moon stayed in the same place. They had built a bridge to nowhere. The wise old monkey appeared again, shaking his head. "I told you that you couldn't catch the moon," he said. "It's too far away.
