2The Statue of Liberty is a neoclassical sculpture on Liberty Island in New York Harbor in New York City, in the United States. The copper statue, designed by a French sculptor, and dedicated on October 28, 1886, was a gift to the United States from the people of France. The statue is of a robed female figure representing Libertas, the Roman goddess, who bears a torch and a tablet evoking the law upon which is inscribed the date of the American Declaration of Independence, July 4, 1776. A broken chain lies at her feet. The statue

is an icon of freedom and of the United States: a welcoming signal to immigrants arriving from abroad. The torch-bearing arm was displayed at the Centennial Exposition in Philadelphia in 1876, and in Madison Square Park in Manhattan from 1876 to 1882. The statue was constructed in France, shipped overseas in crates, and assembled on the completed pedestal on what was then called Bedloe\'s Island. 3Ebola virus disease, or simply EVD, is a disease of humans and other primates caused

5First aid is the assistance given to any person suffering a sudden illness or injury, with care provided to preserve life, prevent the condition from worsening, and promote recovery. If the patient was breathing, a first aider would normally place them inthe recovery position, with the patient leant over on their side, which also has the effect of clearing the tongue from the pharynx. It also avoids a common cause of death in unconscious patients, which is choking on regurgitated stomach contents. Once the airway has been opened, the first aider would assess to see if the patient is breathing. If there is no breathing, or the patient is not breathing normally, such as agonal breathing, the first aider would undertake what is probably the most recognized first aid procedure―cardiopulmonary resuscitation or CPR, which involves breathing for the patient, and manually massaging the heart to promote blood flow around the body.
