My Favorite Subject English is my favorite subject because English is used widely I the world , especially in Yiwu, a city with so many foreigners . What’s more , I like it because my English teacher is kind and friendly to me . In order to learn English well , I read English aloud every morning and listen to the teacher carefully in class. After class, I often watch English programs and keep an English diary every day . I believe I can fly I Believe I Can Fly is a nice song by R. Kelly. This song tells us that confidence is very important . When a person has confidence , he believes that he can and will succeed , and this gives him the courage to try new things . Dreams and confidence are what keep us going on in the fact difficulties . No one can achieve success without them . If you believe you can fly , then you can really fly someday . I think I will never give up confidence whenever I meet any difficulties . I’ll remember confidence is the promise for achieving success. How to make the fried egg The fried eggs are very good food . If you would like to make one , you must put a frying pan on the stove and turn on the gas . Then put a little cooking oil in the pan . While waiting for the oil becomes hot , break the egg , put some salt or sugar in the bowl and then mix them . As soon as the oil becomes hot , pour the mixture into the pan .As one side of the egg turns yellow , turn it over. When both sides are coked, put the egg into a plate. The fried egg is ready to eat. How to do a meaningful thing We’ll leave school soon . Now my classmates are discussing how to do a meaningful thing before leaving school . Some students think we should buy a proper gift for our school and thank the teachers for helping and taking care of us . others think we should buy pencils, pens , notebooks , schoolbags and some other school things for the children in the disaster areas and poor areas. I think we can try our best to help these students in poor family . I can help them with English , math and so on . I can also give my old books to them free. English Practice As an old saying says “Practice makes perfect . ” it is also important for us to practice the conversations in pairs and do more exercises in English class. If so , we can master what we learned in class and learn to use the languages. It can help us develop the speaking ,reading and writing skill as well . We may find out what we didn’t learn well and then we can ask other students or teacher for help. If we go on doing like this, we will get good grades in the exam. But others don’t think so. They think doing more exercises can make us tired. If we keep on doing like that , we will waste more time. However I don’t agree with the others. After all doing English exercises is better than not to do them. If you want to learn English well, you must practice it by doing English exercises. About reading . At present only a few students do some reading after class. Here are several reasons. First of all, quite a lot of students are burdened with too much homework. Still others haven’t formed a habit of reading. They would rather spend their spare time on TV or on the Internet. However, reading has many benefits. Through reading we can learn more about the world. Besides, it can help us think better. Last but not least, reading can make our life more colorful . Here are my suggestions. For one thing, teachers are supposed to limit the amount of our 1 homework so that we can have more time to read. For another, it’s a good idea to form reading clubs and learn from each other. Love around me Love is an essential feeling. I can feel love is always around me. Everyday , my mother wakes up earlier than me to make breakfast for me . when I get up , breakfast has already been there . She always prepares some delicious fruit for me to take to school . Every night she sits beside to look at me studying . Sometimes she gives me a cup of water or some fruit . When I feel tired , she is there sending me to hospital . I am happy to have her as my mother . I often tell my mother she needs rest and she needn’t accompany me so long . I sometimes express my gratitude to her . I even tell her when she becomes old , I can do the same things she does to me . An interesting discussion Last week , our English teacher asked us to discuss in groups . We began to ask each other , “What are you going to be when you grow up ? How are you going to do that ? ” We ;were so interested in these questions that all of us were happy to answer . When we didn’t know how to express ourselves we helped each other or used the dictionary . At last , the group leaders reported our plans in front of the class. I think it is very interesting and helpful to learn in groups . When farmers cut down trees, tigers can no longer hide and hunt . Many tigers are killed by people who want to sll their fur for money . And there are few places where pandas can live . We are not alone in the world . We human beings could not live without all the plants and animals around us . So protecting wild animals are very important . We must take measures to keep plants from being destroyed and stop animals from being killed. If each of us can plant a tree and build a birdhouse , the world will be more beautiful .
