Because they were so big that it took a long time to walk to the other side. 这些（山）太高了，他们要花好长时间才能翻越过去。 6 .… not.. .. until十从句 Don’ t eat it until you get to the forest. 你们到达森林之后才能吃 三、语法归纳： 实义动词的一般过去时构成 1)肯定句： 规则动词过去式变化规律。 1．一般在动词末尾加-ed，如：pull-pulled, cook-cooked 2．结尾是e加d，如：taste-tasted 3．末尾只有一个元音字母和一个辅音字母的重读闭音节，应双写末尾的辅音字母，再加-ed，如：stop-stopped 4．以“辅音字母+y”结尾的，变y为i， 再加-ed，如：study-studied 不规则动词过去式： am,is-was are-were do-did see-saw say-said give-gave get-got go-went come-came have-had 2)时间特点：动词一般过去时跟过去时间状语连用,如：昨晚yesterday , 一年以前one year ago, 3)否定句： I didn’t go to school at the weekend. She didn’t like the food in the big bowl. 4)疑问句： Did you go to the zoo yesterday?
