状语从句的定义与功能：在复合句中担任状语成分的从句称为状语从句，修饰主句的谓语动词，形容词或副词。 状语从句的位置: 状语从句同状语一样,在句中的位置比较灵活, 可置于句首,句未,或句中.状语从句位于句首时,常用逗号分开, 状语从句位于句尾时,其前一般不用逗号 状语从句的分类： 根据意义和用途的不同，状语从句可分为： 1. 时间 2. 原因3. 地点 4. 目的5. 方式 6. 条件7. 结果8. 让步 9. 比较状语从句 条件状语从句 引导条件状语从句的连词有：if, unless, so/as long as(只要)，in case (如果，万一)，if only( 要是，只要)，provided/proving (that) (假如)， on condition that (只要)， suppose/supposing(that)(假定)，assuming that ,once ① I’ll go there _________ he invites me. ② _________ I forget, please remind me about it.( 假使我忘了， 请提醒我) ③ Take an umbrella with you________it rains.（ 带把伞吧， 万一下雨） ④ _________ he has a chance, he will do great things.（只要他有机会，他就能干大事） ⑤ Suppose/Supposing(that) he can’t come, who will do the work? ⑥ Providing/Provided(that) there is no opposition, we shall hold the meeting here. 【重点提示】 ★同时间状语从句一样，条件状语从句如果表示将来时间， 要用一般现在时代替将来时。 ★ in case 如位于句首，意思是“假如”，位于句中和句尾，意思是“万一” V．方式状语从句 引导方式状语从句的连词有：as（正如---）, as if/though（仿佛,好象），just as---so (像---那样) ① Please do______ I do. ② The child talks _____ he_____ a man.
