Burton Wats on )。

Kwan-kwa n go the ospreys, On the islet in the river.

The modest, retiring, virtuous, young lady: For our prince a good mate she.

Fair, fair, cry the ospreys On the island in the river.

Lovely is this n oble lady, Fit bride for our lord.

Guan! Guan! Cry the fish hawks, On san dbars in the river. A mild mann ered good girl, Fine match for the gentleman.

By riverside a pair Of turtledoves cooing;

There's a good maiden fair Who, a young man is wooing.

The waterfowl would coo Upon an islet in the brooks. A lad would like to woo A lass with pretty looks.
