much as的用法



拆解开来much程度副词，as“如同，像”，“used to say that something is very similar to something else”，“很像某事物，和某事物几乎一样”，等于much the same as...much as 还有“尽管”的意思，引导让步状语从句，也可以用as much as，这个用法的来源是大家比较熟悉的“n./adj./adv./v. +as从句”表示“尽管，虽然”(Child as he is, he can recite 300 poems.)。Eg. Much as I respect him [=although I respect him very much], I still have to disagree with him on this point. = (chiefly US) As much as I respect him, I still have to disagree with him on this point.尽管我很尊重他，但在这个问题上我还是无法赞同他。
