Last week, some Australian students came to our school for a visit. As a volunteer, I joined in the activity. Early that day, we gave them a warm welcome at the school gate. After that, I showed them into a classroom. There one of our teachers taught them something about calligraphy. I explained in English when necessary. They were amazed by the wonderful Chinese art, and some of them even tried writing some characters successfully. To remember the enjoyable moment, we took photos together and this was really a memorable event.

Last week, I worked as a volunteer to give the exchange students from Australia a warm reception.

When the exchange students arrived at our school gate, my classmates and I had already waited there to give them a warm welcome. After a short visit in our campus, we took them to the calligraphy classroom to let them have a try about Chinese calligraphy.

While the calligraphy teacher was giving instruction about how to write the word “Bei” in Chinese , the Australian students listened and watched with great interest and full attention. One of the Australian students then tried to write the word on his own . It was amazing to see that he could write so beautiful Chinese word for the first time. I can’t help clapping my hands to show my admiration to him.

After this special calligraphy class, I helped them take some photos together with the calligraphy teacher. The Australian students smiled happily, with their handwriting “Beijing” held on their hands. It was really an unforgettable experience, both for the Australian students and I. 学生优秀作文2

Last week, I took part in our school’s reception of Australian middle school students as a volunteer.

In the early morning, we waited for the Australian students at the school gate to give them a warm welcome. When seeing them approaching us, we clapped hands to show our excitement. They waved to us and smiled gratefully.

Then we took our Australian friends to our calligraphy class. Seeing our teacher write a Chinese character “Bei’, the foreign students were amazed to find how charming the Chinese calligraphy is. They all gathered around our teacher. With curiosity and excitement, they even tried to write Chinese characters by themselves. All the Chinese students were instructing and encouraging them.

At the end of the class, our efforts finally paid off. Australian students managed to write “Beijing” in Chinese calligraphy. We took a photo with our calligraphy teacher to record this memorable event. I’m glad to see that despite our culture difference, Chinese culture can be spread and appreciated all over the world.

Last week, I participated in the activity of making a reception for an Australian group as a volunteer. I had a great time with those Australian senior students.

We gave them a warm welcomeat the school gate while greeting to each

other. Having shown them around our school,We decided to teach them calligraphy, which has glory historical culture. With a word “bei” written, Australian students were amazed while having a heated discussion about what it meant and how beautiful it looked. Then it came to their turn. All of them were excited and tried their best to imitate our sign. The teacher taught them means to write well while we Chinese

students were making detail explanations to them. Finally, they wrote words “Beijing” and we took a photo holding the calligraphy they wrote.

We did gain a lot from the experience with foreign students, but what I gained most was the colourful culture of our homeland and the success to convey our culture to foreigners
