While human capacity for language has a genetic basis,we were all born with the ability to acquire language, the details of any language system are not genetically transmitted, but instead have to be taught and learned.Language is passed on from one generation to the next through teaching and learning, rather than by instinct.1It was why we learn mother language so easy and perplex by foreign language.So the problem called language barrier always bothers a lot of people,We stayed at our country,lived with our culture,but have to learn a language used in a place where far away from you.We just used it at school,and when you back home,there was no reason to drop your mother language away. Today the English was considered as the most popular language in the world. As a Chinese ,we are familiar with at least two languages——Chinese and English. But no matter what kind of language, it has developed a lot. Maybe many new words were borrowed or created. Perhaps more meanings of the words have been produced. Language is developing because of the communication among us. When we communicate with speakers of another language, customs and tradition were exchanged insensibly. We can borrow words from other areas. That’s why the language has developed so much.So there is an idea come 1.1 Hu Zhuang Lin 《Linguistics》，The Peking University Publishing House.，2001 P1 to our mind,should we create a world language which could be used and accepted by all the people in the world?Maybe this idea seems a little childish,but when it was come true,the world must be deeply changed. For example,the child did not need to learn a foreign language any more,because everyone used the same language in the world.So kids owned more time to learn other things which was more useful to them,so our educational level would be promoted .If one lose his way at a foreign country,he did not need to make a gesture to others or call the police,because he could talked with the local people and easily understand the guideboard.,so our journey can be more easy.This is just some examples about daily life ,and was only a small part that world language could bring you.At science ,culture and economic.,the elimination of language barriers could concentrate more human's wise and gave it better used. We communicate more with other countries, the relationships between us will be closer.The world could enter a new era by the world language.All of this seems so perfect,but the truth is cruel,it was really not a good idea.I can give several reasons to support my idea. The main challenge we have to faced was the difficulty about how we could create a worldwide used and accepted language .There was about 5 or 6 thousands languages around the world ,how complicated it was!We can not even point out that how much differences between Chinese and English ,so how could we find the same point among such thousands of languages?So i thought that human didn't have enough talent and ability to create such a world language that everybody could accepted .Even if we have done it ,but how could we popularize it,you know some language have been used for a very long time,and it was an important part of it's culture,i can not imaged that we could persuade them to drop out their own language .Complicated geographic environment caused cultural difference between the human lived at different place,this process have been for countless years,there was no hope that only a language can change this situation.Now the world was full of war,discrimination ,so it was just a dream to use the world language. When we talk about language,we could also thought about culture.The language is the cultural ' performance',and it was also the foundation of the culture.Language is a system, which consists of two sets of structures/levels. At the lower or basic level there is a structure of sounds, which are meaningless by themselves.
