It was long before从句 过了好久才…… It wasn’t long before从句 没过多久就…… It will be long before从句 要过好久才…… It won’t be long before从句 过不了多久就…… 1）It was long before they came to help us. 过了好久他们才来帮我们。 2）It wasn’t long before we worked out the plan. 没过多久我们就把计划制定出来了。 3） It will be long before my father makes me a paper flower. 要过好久我爸才会给我做纸花。 4） It won’t be long before you are sure to see him. 过不了多久你们肯定就看见他了。 还要注意其变体！ 1) 句型中的long可以换成 确数词，即指具体的时间。如： a. It was five years before he came back. 过了五年他才回来。 b. It wasn’t three days before you changed your mind. 还没过三天你就改变主意了。 c. It will be three periods before school is over. 要过三节课才会放学。 d. It won’t be one minute before you feel regretful . 过不了一分钟你就会觉得后悔的。 2) 句型中的long 可以换成概数词，即用时间名词的复数形式。如： a. It was weeks before I met her. 过了好几个星期我才遇到她。 b. It wasn’t hours before they accomplished their task. 没过几个小时他们就完成了任务。 c. It will be months before I go to see my grandma. 要过几个月我才会去看我姥姥。 d. It won’t be days before they return your books. 过不了几天他们就会还你书的。 3) 句型中的be可以换成take (花费)。如： a. It took us long before we got on well with each other. 我们花了很久的时间才融洽相处。 b. It didn’t take hours before we finished our wall paper. 还没有花几个小时我们就完成了墙报。 c. It will take me half a day before I remember these words. 要花我半天的时间才会记住这些单词。 d. It won’t take us long before we live our dream. 花不了我们多久时间就能实现我们的梦想。 4) 对句中的long部分提问用how long. 如： a. How long was it before you came back yesterday ? 你们昨天过了好久才回来？ b. How long did it take before he completed his novel? 花了他多久写完他的小说？ c. How long will it be before you go to visit him? 要过多久你才会去看他？ d.How long will it take her before she finishes her design? 要花她多久才完成设计？ 2.before I could do,…(还没来得及…就…) a. Before I could get in a word, the tailor had measured me. 我还没来得及插话，那裁缝就已给我量了。 b. He had run away before I could give him money. 我还没来得及给他钱，他就跑了。 c. He had hung off before I could answer the phone. 我还没来得及接电话他就挂了。 d. Before I could explain ,he had rushed out. 我还没来得及解释，他就冲出去了。 3. before sb. does,…(趁还没做……,……) a.Please write it down before you forget it. 趁你还没忘就记下。 b.Please eat them up before they become cool. 趁还没有变凉把他们吃完。 c.Put it away before it gets broken. 趁还没有砸把它收起来。 4.hadn’t done …before sb. did 还没…就……；不到……就…… （用于否定句，强调主句所表达的时间、距离短或花费的精力小。） We hadn’t run a mile before we felt tired. 我们还没跑到一里路就觉得累了。 5.had done … before sb. did… 做了……才…… （用于肯定句，，强调主句所表达的时间、距离长或者花费的精力大） We had sailed four days before we saw land . 我们航行了四天才看见陆地。 6. before sb. knew/realized it. 不知不觉地 We had come to the foot of the mountain before we knew it. 我们不知不觉地来到了山脚。 7.在……之前 a.The train had left before we arrived at the railway station. 我们到达火车站之前火车已经走了。 b.The film had been on for ten minuted before we got into the cinema. 我们进电影院前，电影已经开始十分钟了。 8.宁可……决不……(常与will/would连用) a.I will die before I surrender. 我宁死不屈。 b.I would go to the hell before I apologized to him. 我宁下地狱也不给他道歉。 c.
