To Make Our Life Better Good morning,everyone! I'm very honored to stand here and give you a short speech. The subject of my speech is to make our life better. Before I introduce my ideas , I want to tell you one thing first about the Shanghai Expo, which is the first comprehensive World Expo held in a developing country. And it is also the first one that takes “the city”as its theme, hoping that it can push forword the city development and help bring about a better urban living environment, just as its theme goes, Better city, Better life . Yes, everyone hopes for a better city life, including me, a teenager from Huizhou District, which is the industrial center of Huangshan city. There we live a rich and peaceful life. However, we can smell something unpleasant and sour from chemical factories at times. It makes us feel terrible and sick. As we know and see, our cities are facing different kinds of industrial pollution, such as noise, air pollution and water pollution . We can't sacrifice our environment and our health to achieve a more developed city. On July 12th, Zhang Baoshun, secretary of our Anhui Provincial Party Commettee, visited our Huangshan city and made an important speech, which clearly shows that tourist city doesn't exclude industrial development. But to develop industry in Huangshan, we should put ecological environment in the first place.We must insist on green, low carbon and sustainable development. Better city and better life should include not only advanced things, but also better envirnoment.If we want have better lives, we have to protect our environment. That can surely makes our cities better and more livable. The most important thing, I think, is to let everybody know the importance and urgency of creating better environment for our better life. Everyone should make contributions to it, especially our local government. I want to close my speech by using a sentance I saw while I was visiting Shanghai Expo:City being need our tender care. Hope all of you sitting here have a better life. 译文： 让生活更美好 大家早上好！我非常荣幸我能站在这，为大家作一篇简短的演说。我演讲的主题是“让我们的生活更美好”。但在我表达我的想法之前，我和大家谈谈一些关于上海世博会的事情，上海世博会是首次在发展中国家举办的综合性世界博览会。并且这次世博会还是首次将“城市”作为它的主题，希望它能不断带动城市的发展，并且能够为我们带来更好的城市生活环境，就像这次世博会的主题所说的：更好的城市，更好的生活。 是的，所有人都希望能够拥有更美好的城市生活环境，其中也包括我，一名来自徽州区的青少年，我们区是黄山市的工业中心。在这里，我们过着富裕和宁静的生活。然而，我们现如今却时不时的能闻到一些来自化工企业的，带有刺鼻酸味的气体。这些污染有时候甚至会让我们感到不舒服。正如我们所了解和目睹的，我们的城市正在面临着各种各样的化工污染，比如噪音、空气污染和水污染等等。我们千万不能以牺牲环境和健康为代价来实现更加现代化的城市。 在今年的7月12日，中共安徽省省委书记张宝顺同志来到黄山市视察并做了重要的讲话，在他的讲话中很明确的指出了旅游城市的发展不能排斥化工企业，但在黄山市发展化工企业我们应该坚持以生态环境优先的原则，必须坚持绿色、低碳和可持续性的发展。 “更好的城市，更好的生活”不仅仅只包含更加先进的东西，更要注意打造更美好的环境。如果我们想要过上更好的生活，我们就一定要保护好我们赖以生存的环境。这样，才能使我们的城市更加美好，更适宜居住。我认为，当前最重要的事就是要让大家都知道为了我们的生活更美好，创造更好的环境是尤为重要和紧迫的。每个人都应该对此作出自己应有的贡献，尤其是我们的地方政府。 我想以一句我在上海世博会上看到的话来结束我的演讲：“城市生活需要我们每个人的关爱。” 非常感谢大家认真地听我演讲，衷心希望在座的各位都能拥有更美好的生活。 本文来源：https://www.dywdw.cn/7b525635660e52ea551810a6f524ccbff121ca6f.html
