1--There's no reason on earth why we should stay here.

2--Yes, there is! Somebody's got to keep an eye on things.

3--That's what I think. Otherwise this whole project could go wrong.

1--I doubt that. It looks to me as if everything is off to a good start. I don't think there needs to be any more supervision.

2--It's better to be safe than sorry.

3--I agree. Sometimes being cautious is the best way to go.

1--All right. All right. I'm outvoted two to one. So we'll stay.

2）keep an eye on=look after/watch carefully

3）otherwise：（副词）要不然，否则。 4）go wrong：出差错 5）doubt：怀疑

6）a good start=a good beginning 7）supervision：监督

8）better to be safe than sorry=better to be careful than to be full of regret

9）cautious：谨慎小心的，being caurious是分词短语作主语。

10）be outvoted：被多数票压倒。vote是“投票表决” 的意思。
