Step 1. Warm-up

1.播放歌曲My new Pen Pal,学生跟唱。

2.Free talk 围绕朋友的话题谈论,Do you have a pen pal? What are his/her hobbies?复习前一课的词汇和句型。

Step 2. Presentation Let’s try

1.教师利用PPT呈现Miss WhiteWu Yifan的图片,师生一起讨论图意:School is over, Miss White is talking to Wu Yifan. What are they talking about?教师请学生阅读听力题目,通过选项了解听的时候要关注哪些核心词汇,如:Which one is right, a computer or a pen pal? Can you guess?

2.播放Let’s try录音二至三遍,然后核对答案。 Lets talk

1.学生完成听力活动后,教师利用挂图或课件呈现对话板块的插图并提问:What are Wu Yifan and John talking about?让学生预测对话的内容。Wu Yifan is talking about his new pen pal.Please think it over: If you are John, what questions will you ask?

2.将学生预测的问句写在黑板的左侧,如:Where is he from? How old is he? What are his hobbies? Can he speak Chinese?

3.播放录音,学生找出John的问题,教师将四个问句贴在黑板的右边,如:Does he live in Sydney? Does he like doing?让学生再听录音,对比自己提的问题和对话中的问句,理解对话大意,

2. Free talkWhat do you often do on the weekend? I often chat with my friends. Look! I have many QQ friends.Do you have QQ friends? Do you want to make a foreign QQ friend? Today, I’ll introduce some foreign friends to you. Try to make friends with them.

Step 2. Presentation Lets learn

1.创设情景,教师打开JohnQQ空间,如同书上的图片和文字,师生共同描述JohnWhere does John live? Does he live in China? Does he like China? What does he often do?引出核心词汇:He often cooks Chinese food, does word puzzle, goes hiking and studies Chinese.

2.教师板书重点词组:cooks Chinese food, does word puzzle, goes hiking and studies Chinese配合图片帮助理解意思,强调动词第三人称单数的变化,如:do-doesgo-goes, study-studies,总结变化规律。

3.播放录音,学生听录音,跟读四个描述日常活动的词组和John兄弟俩的对话。

4.学生结对完成讨论:What does John often do?学生运用动词的第三人称单数介绍他人经常做的事情,He often.
