China in my mind Good morning/afternoon teachers and classmates, In the first grade, my parents took me to the Great Wall. It was the first time I went to Beijing. As they always say, “You are not a hero if you don’t go to the Great Wall.” I had always wanted to be there to see my beautiful motherland. The day when I arrived there, there were so many people from all over the world. I felt very tired when going up the stairs, but when I reached the top, I didn’t feel tired anymore. I finally realized how beautiful my country is. Later, I also went to many other places like West Lake, the Imperial Palace and so on. From the TV and Internet, I’ve taste the charm of those amazing natural or man-made views; I’ve realized that the meaning of them is not only a symbol of a beautiful view, but also the the cultural power that tells Chinese stories to foreign visitors. This is China, a country with years of history that attracts attention from the whole world. Each place has its own fruits. Influenced by the beautiful natural environment and the long history, China has always been making great efforts to develop. Starting from a poor and weak situation, just after 70 years of development, China becomes the second largest economy in the world. People’s living standards have been greatly improved. If we want to buy something, we don’t need to go outside; online shopping is fast and convenient. If we want to go out, there are different kinds of transportation like subway and sharing bike. Besides, with the efforts of all Chinese scientists, China has been a strong country with high technologies that help China stand up in the world stage. This is China, a country with a strong belief that always promotes the economic and technological development. In my mind, this is China; these are Chinese people. Beautiful natural sights as they stand in Chinese land, they will continue to provide more cultural treasures to the world; Typical spirits as they are reflected among Chinese people, they will continue to tell more Chinese stories to the world.
