【知识点拨】

1. Once upon a time是固定搭配，意为“从前”，常用于故事的开头，如： Once upon a time, there was a king. 从前，有一个国王。 2. alone 此处是作副词，意思是“独自地”，相当于“by oneself”. 例如：

She lives alone. 她独自生活。即学即练：

汤姆独自一人在欧洲旅游。 Tom _________________ through Europe. 3. look around 意思是“环顾四周，周围看”

He looked around ,but he saw nothing . 他周围看看，但没看到什么。 [即学即练]：

她周围看看，然后离开了。She ________________ her , then she left.

4. pick up 意为“拿起，拾起”，注意，如果是拿起“它”或“他们”，“it ,them”

要放中间。

“The pen is on the floor, please pick it up.” 笔在地上，请你捡起它。 [即学即练]：

你的书在这，请把他们捡起来。“Your books are here ,please _________________. 5. knock on 意为“敲……”

I knocked on the door, but nobody answered. 我敲了门，但没人应。
