The journey of running away from home Camel is an extremely ordinary girl, the same with other common people, who dreams the daydreams and sometimes is a giant in words, a dwarf in action. Perhaps different from other girls, she is always rounding leaving home inward. Born in a family where grandparents prefer boys to girls, Camel lacked the love of them. While meeting with her grandpa foisting sweets into elder male cousin’s pocket secretly, being scolded by grandma because of not accompanying the little brother, and her grandparents took her brothers to the amusement park without her, she gradually sensed the feeling. By degrees, Camel was not glad to see her grandparents, and estranging from her relatives enveloped her. For aught god knows, the adverse effect on her psyche is not obvious at the time, while it had already pricked Camel’s heart. Camel was like a kite whose line was in her family’s hand, but her heart had already gone to a distant place. Since Camel was a child, she was not clever, nor lucky. In primary school, Camel studied the first-grade course twice, because of the poor results. It is more worse that she had a fever and could not see the words clearly in the eleven-plus examination. Naturally, she failed in the test and entered the average senior high school. Getting the result, Camel cried her heart out and escaped from the relatives. Lying in the bed, Camel thought of her stupidity, imagined the despise of other classmates, recalled of her grandparents’ indifference. It was the first time that Camel was determined to leave the misfortune—family. She planned to go to a place where nobody knew her and she could not pay any attention others’ attitudes. Camel gradually fell asleep bit by bit. A knock at the door took Camel back and her mother’s voice came into the room, “Camel, may I come in? Are you ok? It doesn’t matter. Mom believes you.” The words, like the wind in spring, warmed camel’s heart immediately. After all, Camel was loath to leave her mum. Thinking of her mom, Camel got rid of the thought of leaving home. The failure branded Camel who became more studious. In days of senior high school, Camel studied hard and expected to enter the key junior high school. Everything was equable if camel’s parents did not go to work in another city. When Camel was a sophomore in senior high school, her parents worked out of home. To care Camel, her father took her grandparents to home. As a result, the conflict will break out little by little. One day, Camel and her grandparents were having dinner. Suddenly, her grandpa whacked Camel’s the turnup index finger with his chopsticks and shouted:” do not turn up your index finger while eating. It is too rude.” Camel cried immediately and run back to her room. The lasting grievance suddenly erupted. She was sobbing on the bed and missing her mother and father. The thought of running away from home came into the mind once again. She made the package and rushed out of the door. Walking in the darkness, camel was depressed and disheartened. The home without mother and father is not Camel’s home any more. Camel did not know where to go and walked without the destination. All of sudden, Camel thought of her aunt and went to her aunt’s home. The care and comfort from her aunt calmed Camel and she slept in her aunt’s home relievedly. Next morning, Camel’s mother gave her a call and asked her to home. In order to set her mother at ease, Camel went back to home, even though her grandparents did not express their worries while leaving home. In the following two years, Camel dealt with her grandparents with great care, even though there were still apples of discord. In the end of summer in 2009, Camel finally ran away from home, because she entered Beijing Sport University. Her parents sent her to Beijing. While leaving home, her grandparents had no words at all. Camel was up to her auntie’s shoulders and could not see goodbye to her. Arriving at Beijing, the strange city panicked her. Is it the place where Camel dreamed to leave to? The unknown scene, students, events dreaded Camel. When her parents left, Camel was actually expected to go back with them. She wanted to go back to home and learned to accept grandparents’ apartness. Everything before is not important any longer. The home which she really wanted to leave is not her grandparents’ indifference, but to attract their attention. That is a painful but lovely child. Until now, the journey of running home is continuous. On the way, she gained the true friendship and beautiful love besides the love of her relatives. Even though sometimes Camel was still unhappy and wanted to leave, the love fastened her.
