S: 你好,我是来自中央电视台的记者--Sophia世界上有各种各样的工作,比如写作、护理、教学和工程师等。但不同的人选择不同的工作作为他们的理想的职业,因为每个人都有自己的兴趣。今天,我很高兴就理想职业采访了三名大学生。你好,Vicky。如果你能够拥有世界上任何一份工作,你最梦寐以求的是?

SHello, I’m Sophia, a reporter from CCTV. There are various kinds of jobs in the world, such as writing, nursing, teaching and engineering. But different people choose different jobs as their ideal careers. This is because everyone has his own interest. Today, I’m very glad to interview three college students about their dream job. Hello, Vicky. What is your dream job, if you could have any job in the world?

VMy ideal is to be an English teacher in a primary School. V: 我的理想是成为一名小学英语老师。 S:你为什么选择当老师?

S: Why do you to be an English teacher?

V: I choose to do so mainly for three reasons. First, I want to teach because I like the pace of academic calendar. Two long vacations offer me an opportunity for reflection, research and writing. Secondly, I want to teach because I like the freedom to make my own mistakes, to learn my own lesson, to stimulate myself and my students. And I can have the opportunity to keep on learning. Finally, I want to teach because, being around the students who are beginning to grow and change in front of me, I will grow and change with them too. But teaching is no easy job at all. I must study cleverly to obtain more knowledge. And, at the same time, I will make every effort to purify my soul so that I can become an architect of mans soul.

S: What did you do for being an excellent English teacher?

V: During my college years, I have worked very hard at my major courses, so as to lay a solid foundation of theoretical knowledge. Of cause, I passed the teacher qualification examination and obtained the teacher qualification certificate.

V: 在我大学期间,我努力学习了我的专业课程,为了给我以后的工作奠定了坚实的理论基础。当然我也通过并取得了教师资格证。 S:你有教小学的经验吗?

S: Did you have any experiences teaching in primary school?

V: Yes, I did. I have practiced for a month in a primary school. During the time, I tried my best to use all the teaching methodologies I learned at school to reach each child. Stories, poems, riddles, jokes songs are all good for little kids. I will have them practice English as a whole, so that my students like me very much.

V: 当然,我在某一小学实习了一个月。实习期间,我尽力使用各种教学方法,像诗歌,谜语,笑话歌曲,我将它们作为一个整体来练习英语,所以我的学生都很喜欢我。 S: 非常感谢你能接受采访。

S: Catharine, 那你的理想职业是什么?

SHow about you, Catharine? Whats your ideal job?

C: Well, um, I wanna be an interpreter, preferably simultaneous interpretation. C: 我想做一名口译员,最好是同声传译。

S:好的。那能跟我们介绍一下什么是同声传译吗? S: OK. What is simultaneous interpretation?

C: Simultaneous interpretation is oral translation of spoken language into another language at the same time and same rate of speech as the speaker. As a rule, an interpreter is located in a separate booth and the translation is transmitted to earphones provided to each participant.

C: 同传是指同声传译员以相同的速率和时间将演讲者的语言以口头翻译的形式翻译成另一种语言。一般来说,同声传译员坐在单独的小房间里,通过耳机翻译给参与者听。 S: 你如何能成为同传?我甚至不知道要如何做。

SHow do you become a simultaneous interpreter? I can't even say it.

C: It's a lot of schooling. I work hard in University and I practice my English listening and speaking ability consciously. And then, I invent a set of unique method to take notes. And whats more, I also improve my memory by several ways. Last year, I got the qualification certificate for simultaneous interpretation.

C: 这需要长时间的学习。在大学,我努力学习并且有意识地锻炼我的英语听力和英语口语能力。然后,我发明了一套独有的记笔记的方法。另外,我也通过许多途径来提高我的记忆力。去年,我取得了同声传译的资格证书。

SLily,我们来谈谈你的未来。等你毕业了你想做什么?

SWe're gonna talk about your future, Lily. What do you want to be when you graduated? LI’m planning to study in Japan. L: 我打算去日本留学。 S: 你怎么会有如此打算? S: Why do you have this plan?

L: Because my dream job is to become a diplomat representing my country, preferably in Japan. That's why I chose to came to Japan to learn Japanese and hopefully obtain a master degree in International Relations. And then, I would like to go home and enter the diplomat school for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which is a three year program, and then, after that hopefully come back to Japan and work for the Norwegian Embassy in Tokyo.

L: 因为我最梦寐以求的职业是成为一名外交官,最好是驻日本外交官。这就是我选择去日本学习日语的原因,并且希望得到国际关系专业的硕士学位。然后,我会回国然后进入一家隶属于外交部的外交学校。这就是我三年来的计划,之后再回到日本,在东京挪威大使馆工作。




S: 那竞争一定很激烈。

S: It must be pretty competitive.

LIt's very competitive, but I think if you know a certain language that not many people speak, it gives you a competitive edge nevertheless so that's why I came to Japan.

L竞争确实很激烈,但我想如果你能掌握一门很多人都不会的语言,你就会拥有竞争优势,这也就是我来日本的原因。

S: 真是一个不错的理想,希望你能坚持并且成功。

S: Its really a good idea. I hope you can keep it and succeed. L: Thank you. L: 谢谢。
