1．形容词和副词有原级、比较级和最高级。原来的形式称为原级，表示“比较„„”的称为比较级，表示“最„„”的称为最高级。形容词和副词的比较级和最高级的变化方法如下： （1）符合规则的： 情 况 加 法 例 词 small- smaller- smallest 一般情况 直接加-er；-est fast-faster-fastest 以不发音的e结尾直接加-r；-st 的词 large-larger-largest dry-drier-driest 以“辅音字母+y”变y为i再加-er；-est 结尾的词 easy-easier-easiest； heavy-heavier-heaviest thin-thinner-thinnest 以一个辅音字母结尾的重读闭音节词 辅音字母双写再加-er；big-bigger-biggest -est hot-hotter-hottest important-more important-most important 多音节词和部分双音节词 在单词前面加more和most interesting-more interesting-most interesting convenient-more convenient-most convenient （2）不规则的形容词和副词的比较级和最高级如下表： 原级 good/well 比较级 better 最高级 best lazy-lazier-laziest nice-nicer-nicest bad/ill many/much little far worse more less farther/further worst most least farthest/furthest （2）形容词和副词的比较级的用法如下： ①在表示程度相同时，用“as＋形容词或副词的原级＋as＋比较状语从句”句型。例如： Jim is as tall as his brother． Bruce didn't come to the classroom as early as Dick yesterday． ②在表示一方不如另一方时，“not as ／so＋形容词或副词的原级＋as＋比较状语从句”句型。例如： Lesson Three is not so easy as Lesson Two．It's much more difficult．第三课不如第二课简单，它难一些。 ③在表示一方超过另一方时，要用“形容词或副词比较级＋ than ＋比较状语从句”句型。例如： Peter is fatter than his brother． ④在表示三个或三个以上的人或事物中程度最高时，用句型“the ＋形容词或副词的最高级（＋名词）＋in ／of ／among（名词的复数形式或代词的宾格）”，副词的最高级前面的the可以省略。例如： Which do you like best，tea，orange juice or water？ Of all stars，the sun is the nearest to the earth．所有星体中，太阳离地球是最近的。 —Which is the hottest season of the year？ —Summer． —一年中哪一个季节最热？ —夏季。 ⑤有些形容词由于受本身涵义的限制，没有比较级和最高级。如：dead，empty，round（圆的），sure，woolen等。例如： This bottle is empty．There's no water in it． ⑥形容词比较级前面常用much，far，even，a lot，a little等词修饰。例如： I am a little stronger than you．我比你强壮一点儿。 This street is much straighter than that one．这条路比那条直的多。 In this country，it's very cold in November，but it's even colder in December． （3）级别之间的转换 ①原级与比较级之间的转换 A．倍数＋as．．．as→倍数＋比较级＋than。例如： This book is twice as thick as that one．→ This book is once thicker than that one． B．not so．．．as与比较级之间的转换。例如： Tom knows much more about computers than any other student in his class．→No one in his class knows so much about computers as Tom． Miss Zhang isn't so old as Miss Wang．→Miss Wang is older than Miss Zhang．／Miss Zhang is younger than Miss Wang． ②比较级与最高级之间的转换： A．比较级＋than any other ＋名词单数。例如： Wei Hua is the tallest boy in his class．→Wei Hua is taller than any other boy in his class． B．比较级＋than ＋any of the other ＋名词复数。例如： Robert is better than any of the other students in the school．→ Robert is the best student in the school． C．比较级＋than ＋anyone else。例如： He spoke English more quickly than anyone else．→He spoke English most quickly． D．No one ＋谓语＋比较级＋sb．例如： No one does the work better than Sam in his office．→Sam can do the work best in his office． （4）级别的惯用法 ①“比较级＋and＋比较级”，表示“越来……越……”，其形式为 -er and -er或more and more ＋部分双音节词和多音节词。例如： The car is running faster and faster．It seems to be flying． Our school is becoming more and more beautiful． ②“the ＋比较级，the＋比较级”，表示“越……越……”。例如： —How many books do you need？—The more，the better． —Actually，the busier he is，the happier he feels． 本文来源：https://www.dywdw.cn/687e60437375a417866f8fb2.html
