In addition, extreme weather events such as droughts, heat waves, and hurricanes will become more frequent and intense. We must take action to reduce the greenhouse effect and its effects. We can start by reducing our dependence on fossil fuels and switching to renewable energy sources such as solar and wind. We must also take steps to protect and restore our forests, which act as natural carbon sinks. Finally, we must promote sustainable practices such as recycling and using less plastic.
